Countdown to Nokia N9 at Nokia Sweden’s Swipe page.

| August 4, 2011 | 27 Replies

Nokia Sweden has posted up a countdown clock at their swipe page.

http://swipe.nokia.se

As you can see, it’s from about 50 days from now, which is exactly September 23rd – the arrival date for Sweden’s Nokia N9.

Remember also that Nokia Sweden has a promo where 30 people get to test and KEEP a Nokia N9. (NICE)

Thanks for the tip, Dino.

hope it will perform will in markets and then people at nokia will come back to meego.

  2. gen says:

why only Sweden has this promo? Its is rumoured that the phone is to be released in Australia first and right now there has been no promotion about it what so ever. It seems that all the advertising effort has been for the x7. It would be nice if Nokia Australia would start promo like this as the release date is approaching near.

  3. Yemi says:

I will wait till November to get this. I can see people selling these phones overpriced on eBay or Amazon if the release is staggered. The most I will spend on the 64gb version is 550 US dollars.

  4. Calvin H says:

Can we get a release date from Nokia or what?

  5. Sam says:

I sent you an email about that news , not Dino .

  6. Jeff says:

How come Nokia’s only allowing Sweden to “show the love” :(

    C’mon Nokia…
Let other countries do everything that’s been allowed in Sweden!

    • Viipottaja says:

Oh you have proof that Nokia has banned other country units from doing something similar?

      • Jeff says:

Well we’ve still not heard of the same kind of availability for other countries.

3x carriers & counting, multiple retailers, promo/giveaway etc.

Some other countries have had carriers or retailers confirmed.
But not as many as Sweden, & they’re dates are mostly still very vague etc.

It’s the only country where things have been transparent every step of the way.

I hope many other countries start following suit soon.
        It’ll certainly won’t be good, if they haven’t in say 4wks :(

  7. meh says:

swipe.nokia.fi asks for username and password. Well at least there is such domain.

  8. eMad says:

    swipe.nokia.ca doesn’t exist :(

  9. Sammyl says:

16GB Nokia N9 is up for pre order in Australia Exeltek web site.

According to them ETA is 17th Aug 2011

    • Jeff says:

doesn’t say anything bout dates on that page?

    • Jeff says:

      And they’re only selling the 16gb @freaking $900AUD, that’s a total rip.

      • Sammyl says:

The date is not shown, but I’ve called them and got the date from the sales lady. The price is a bit high for 16GB version and they don’t have the price for the 64GB version yet.

        • D. says:

yea we’ve had the 16gb on preorder in sweden for about 3 weeks now, no pricing but the date says 23rd sept :/ called them regarding the 64gb version, told me they wont be selling that at a first but it might change
