Nokia Malaysia: Nokia N9 in a “few weeks time”.
In a Nokia N9 preview event in Malaysia, lowyat reports that the N9 will appear in a few weeks time.
“In a preview session with member of the media earlier today, Nokia Malaysia has confirmed that their newMeeGo-based smartphone – the N9 - will be meeting the Malaysian consumers in just few weeks time”
There is still no definite date. A few weeks for Nokia could seriously mean quite a few weeks. Or it could appear in about 6-7 weeks time which is the estimated time for the N9 availability (indicated by some retailers). The optimistic among us would hope for something to appear in August.

“August” would have fitted as a code on #n9seconds competition… maybe I’m reading to much into this. Or my brain has fried completely after watching those videos so many times. Or both… Argh!!
well at least it sounds like the N9 will actually be released this year
i was actually afraid we wouldnt see it until sometime 2012
September is the 9th month, and we know something relating to both Microsoft and Nokia is taking place on the 15th, so I would expect Nokia would want to get all the N9 excitement out of the way in time so as not to eclipse whatever that may be.
The Sea Ray was leaked just a few days after the N9 presentation – as if to share some of the reflected glory, so I would expect similar misdirection to follow.
My money says early September.
This date is local event.
They better release it before iPhone5 hype starts drowning it out.
why should there be i iphone5 hype? and if, it could help to promote the n9.
n9 vs. iphone 5 head to head could be very popular on tech blogs.

had a friend who went to the #n9kl event. he wrote that article for Powhatan. he loved the phone. I was surprised at how Mich smaller it is that I originally expected. price is below RM 2000 which will make it at least competative. saving money now
September the 9th (2009) would be perfect!

nokia never fix a exact date, but apple does
there will be a media launch in a few weeks time but the phone will not be available for sale until a few weeks after that. so it is a minimum of 4 weeks (for asia pac, at least)
