Symbian Belle Leak for N8 Updated. v111.020.0203, August 30 version date.
Just wanted to update that Symbian Belle (the unofficial leaked firmware version from August 16th) has a more recent version available apparently. The date here being August 30th. Now this isn’t supported by Nokia but that hasn’t stopped a lot of you from trying out the Belle greatness (which GSM Arena recently called “almost revolutionary” – though that was with newer HW).
Even prominent Nokia staff are putting Belle early to their N8s :p

The last time I flashed Belle on my N8, I couldn’t install any applications on it. Like anything at all, even Qt apps=S was it something with the firmware, or did I not install it correctly? It was running completely fine otherwise though. I then downgraded back to Anna.
This is the main reason I’m thinking of avoiding this one…too much hassle flashing to find out apps don’t work and then downgrading back=p
any help? could it be cuz i restored settings from Ovi Suite? or didn’t hard reset? =S
wait till others try it and give their feedback, then decide what to do :p
I ran into the same issue. Just hard reset it and restore your data without the applications and you should be good to go. Some applications still don’t work, but I can live without those.
Same problem. Can’t install anything. Not even the ovi store update that is shown as an update for my device.
whatsapp works???
I did what Arbegla said. Hard reset, but let go at the first vibration (I read somewhere that doing that doesn’t delete data, but restores settings and reboots the phone). Working pretty well now, whatsapp started working as well. I’m pretty much good with it now, cuz whatsapp is the main communication app I use, not much of a Skype user.
Belle is pretty awesome, to sum it up.

Press 7370 Code and press ok and 12345 password Wait for 10to15 min’s
I solved it by doing hard reset and wiping memory by *#7370#. That leads to a reboot. After reboot I did not change anything but flashed again.
After flash it works perfectly.

How about cutebox, toshl and fring?
toshl works
toshl on mine does work when you try to sync data with your account.
Fring will work but have to log off before exit. If not, it won’t start at the second time.

Just installed it. The browser is a little different from previous version. A the loading bar looks different. Overall software is definitely smoother than previous version.

Must be the RC? Or is it Final.. ? Either way its awesome..
it’s better than the first leak definitely. I’m finding scrolling in the menu a bit jerky though. That’s the only flaw I’ve found so far
