The Nokia Link application for Windows and Mac is available to download at Nokia.com

Move your music, photos, and videos easily between your phone and a Windows or Mac computer. With Nokia Link, your media files are always where you need them.

You can also copy mobile content to your favourite applications on the computer, like Windows Media Player and iTunes.

The download is less than 10MB for Windows and 25MB for a Mac, so a very light piece of software for connecting up your phone to pc.

System requirements

  • Supported operating systems: Windows 7 32-bit & 64-bit, Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, Mac OSX Lion

Supported applications

You can copy media files between your phone and the following applications:

Windows

  • Windows Media Player 12 or later
  • Windows Live Photo Gallery 2011 or later
  • iTunes 9.0.2 or later

Mac

  • iTunes 8.2 or later
  • iPhoto 8 or later

Thanks to Marcel for the tip!

This is for the N9 only, right?

  2. Fanel says:

Can someone explain to me why Nokia is wasting their time making this program when Ovi Suite is finally stable and good to use?

    • deep space bar says:

i was about to ask the same question…why this useless shit same with the software updater…..why not just make everything in one tight, light andt beautiful visuals in one whole all in one nokia client….this shit is stupid

    • dsmobile says:

N9 does not work with ovi suite and windows phone does not work with ovi suite.

N9 only syncs contacts to online page and as ovi suite does not sync to online anymore. Well your online contacts might be old so it’s good to remember.

Nokia OVI music player works with N9 so that can still use to sync music.

    • SirraH77 says:

I hope the answer is that they are using Qt to develop better Nokia suite(would mean Linux support). Is this Nokia Link developed in Qt? If it is, why is not Linux supported? Can anyone answer?

    • Nabkawe says:

First of all , OVI suit as a name is no more, Second it’s about time Nokia made it simple , it’s been always a leader in backing up and restoring (i still have contacts from my last 7 phones) but it lacked simplicity , they went simple in Belle and they are going this way with the supporting software. P.S OVI store backing process kind of sucks …

  3. genchigen says:

Will it sync contacts via outlook?

  4. aikon171 says:

what the difference between ovi suite and this?

  5. lovemeego says:

    waste of resource

better waste this money for working with whatsapp

  6. Gojira says:

Is this the new PC Suite? Which I use … Ovi Suite seemed like too much hassle when I just want to sync calendar/contacts/pics/vids … something syncing it w/ an internet account seemed unnecessary.

  7. Babis says:

    it works for my C7
i have not tried to copy or synchonise yet anything but it does find my C7
    thanks

  8. MKnowles says:

Cool, will definitely check this out as I get tired of Nokia neglecting mac users with the regular ovi suite.

  9. XFCE-Desktop says:

    Great piece of software!

  10. Slayer says:

it’s just a more simple program to connect your phone to pc. consider it a lite version of ovi suite

  11. flames says:

only for win 7 :/ and what about users with shitty vista or xp ?

  12. dr_zorg says:

Personally I still use Nokia PC Suite. It’s simpler than Ovi, has the same functions which are in some cases actually even more robust and (most importantly for me) does not force me to “update” to a newer version like Ovi does. It doesn’t have the ugly WP7-like tiles or store ads and it has legacy support.

I see this Nokia Link as yet another means by which Microsoft wants to shove Metro down our throats (by disabling support for XP and Vista, among other things).

    Useless POS????

    The last time I checked,
there was no Nokia Suite for Mac.

No convenient means of connecting my Nokia
to my preferred choice of laptop (Mac) was the reason
    for ditching the brand altogether…

Now that metro has become mature, I’m tempted to get a Nokia
once again when they come out with a phone to come along with it…

  14. Lulz says:

How to get it to work with N8??

  15. Fireblade says:

Can’t download Nokia Link as I’m using Vista. Does that mean I can transfer any stuff from my N9 onto my PC? What a waste of time@!!!! :-(
