There was a post yesterday on Nokia Conversations with a video documentary on Symbian Belle.

You’re hear the very familiar words – getting people their heads back up again. Erm, hang on isn’t that MeeGo-Harmattan Swipe?

There’s no Swipe in Belle. Belle is revamped Symbian no where near the new paradigm that warrants getting your head back up.

They talk in a rather poncey way about homescreens like it’s something new and the next big thing. Well, we did want them to have that point out the obvious and market it well angle. It doesn’t really suit them does it? Particularly as the homescreens aren’t exacly that great, especially after having the Maemo Homescreen. (Also I dislike titles with “Breaking” or “exclusive” when most often you just have a “meh” response)

I still really like Belle though, it’s a wonderful improvement over Anna and vanilla. (Just not a patch on MeeGo-Harmattan or Maemo)
