Fruit Ninja NFC (new NFC content at Nokia Store, not Ovi Store)

Jared Morgan emailed us to share some news of a NFC section. He notes in particular Fruit Ninja NFC.

Fruit Ninja is a juicy action game with squishy, splatty and satisfying fruit carnage! Become the ultimate bringer of sweet, tasty destruction with every slash.
Swipe up across the screen to deliciously slash fruit like a true ninja warrior. With three games modes the addictive gameplay will keep you coming back for even higher scores.
Fruit Ninja now has our first phase of NFC functionality. Simply perform the NFC handshake with another Nokia 500, 600 or 700 to unlock content.

Something else Jared points out is that there’s a difference in content available for Nokia and Ovi Store. Try it out for yourself, you’ll see items disappear in store.ovi.com that you can see in store.nokia.com.

Check it out:

One thing is for sure. NFC is only going to become more common.

I would keep doing searches while you are not logged in to store.nokia.com and track the growth.

The interesting thing about NFC in phones is that you need two factors:

    1. A market that uses Nokia extensively.
    2. Friends that have the same tech and game interests as you.

I can see forums and communities being built around NFC content.

Possibly using geo-location as a way of finding out who is running Angry Birds with Magic, or Fruit Ninja NFC so you can get some free levels.

    Do you agree?

Not necessarily.. Quite a number of us know already that u can unlock ur Angry Bird levels with any NFC equipped card/passport if u tap ur phone to the item while u’re having the app running.. ;)

    Merci beaucoup
