Nokia In trouble with Romania

Not really related to phones itself, rather the Company. After Nokia cut about 2000 jobs last year in the Cluj Nokia Factory, in Romania’ apparently Nokia abandoned the factory as is; only removing the crucial items (prototypes, machinery….etc.) which should have been taxed by Romanian customs as they left the country. For some reason or the other these fines have been left unpaid till now, they amount to about $10,000,000 (10 mil.), which when you think about it shouldn’t be too much for a company as large as Nokia.

According to a Nokia spokesman they are  ‘”engaging with the local authority to ensure it will be resolved satisfactorily.” which probably means they plan on paying.
