Leaked? Nokia 801 pics.
Ooh new phone
. Here’s something apparently for the China Market and called Nokia 801. It’s not the 801 N8 successor, just some Anna variant for TD-HSPA.
Oddly at the front there are no buttons. There isn’t even any room for buttons.. Where’s the Symbian menu button though?
The camera says 8MP, it has dual flash and a speaker grille. The metal in the middle curves perhaps to the front to that prominent bezel. Something about it makes me think about the N72.
Not sure it’s in keeping with the new Nokia design. Maybe it’s one of those things that look better in person?@ :S I hate that lumpy bezel thingy.
The side is a bit odd. The buttons are kinda small.
Cheers aikon171 for the tip!

a successors don’t have shitty camera they have everything better
N95 – N95 8gb
N93 -N93i
N85 – N86
So does this mean the n8 successor wont be the 801 but something else. Wonder what
It will be called the Nokia 1337
+1
Mind the “T” – this is Nokia 801T.

it might be the upgrade to this phone since it’s a T model
Makes sense… But if the T7 has the same chassis as the N8, will N8′s successor have the same chassis as the 801T. Another thing which can be concluded is that N8′s successor will be in 9XX series..
this might actuall be the new model Nokia chose for successor of the n8….better specs and bigger screen with swipe is what we wanted too see with the n8…..and if so….*throws money at screen Nokia take my money
I thought they never created new models JUST for China. Usually they just rehash an existing model — but I don’t know what existing phone this would be based on…
Not really. There were several TD-WCDMA phones especially designed for China Mobile and they did not look similar to existing phones then. Using similar designs, such as T7 and 702T, on the other hand, is actually not common.
“Oddly at the front there are no buttons. There isn’t even any room for buttons.. Where’s the Symbian menu button though?”
I think that the buttons are on the space above the operator logo (that white spiral thing), but they look capacitive. If I squint my eyes a little I can see the “menu” button(a dash) on the middle of that space and on the left part of that space the image seems a little green(just a little). Maybe I´m just crazy, idk.
I saw that green too…
12 MPX down to 8MPX. No way
Nokia was say, they will be make a successor of N8 with same camera model, maybe 12 MP, Xenon, and Carl Zeiss, maybe better, but look at these… So poor…
i think there’re buttons, but some c7-ish buttons (call and end)
Take it from me guys.. I’ve got this from a reliable source:
The N8 successor will have symbian OS and be called “Nokia WP killer”
The N8 successor will be 810
this phone without buttons bcoz symbian belle need no buttons
To show the multitasking swipe the top area “bettwen the signal & battery indicator”
plus no buttons means better using as many oop uses the menu key to “exit apps” which is not thats eat the ram n make it slow
Belle needs a menu button
Looks legit, shit design and shit hardware and symbian OS. Nokias strategy to promote WP in action.:-)
[...] My Nokia Blog claims that this device’s camera module is very similar to the one on the Nokia C7, so this may be related to that handset. As far as the Nokia 801 is concerned, this model is pictured below and it’s seen as a Nokia N8 relative or successor with Symbian Anna on board and TD-HSPA connectivity. The odd thing here is that there are no buttons in sight and there’s no room for them either… [...]
to me it’s look like there is buttons!! there is cut line in bottom of display, that’s indicate that there is 2or3 buttons in bottom under one smooth surface. isn’t it??
[...] confusion. Well, let’s see.The phone was rumored to run Symbian Bell, but as the guys over at MyNokiaBlog think, it will run Anna. At the moment we can’t say anything definite about the operating system. [...]
Their is a menu key i guess, if you zoom in you will find a glassy like separation after the screen and i guess that’s the menu key >……..> Just liked to share that with you all…………..
