Lumia 710 for T-Mobile confirmed by FCC Manual
We have seen the Lumia 710 posted on Nokia USA’s website since the Lumia was first launched. We have also had posts, with regards to T-Mobile announcing a Nokia Windows phone next week.
This NWP has all been but confirmed to be the Lumia 710, until now. FCC listings, show the user manual of the Lumia 710, to have T-Mobile branding. In my opinion, this, along with what we already know, packages everything together to prove that T-Mobile will be unveiling the Nokia Lumia 710 next week.
Shame really, as the Lumia 800 would probably sell better based on design and specs, and have, what I believe, to be a better chance at putting Nokia back on the US map. We’ll see what they do. Who knows, CES 2012 may bring the Lumia 900 to the US.
Do you think Nokia should have brought the 800 over the 710 to the US? Or should they have just gone all out straight away with the Lumia 900? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

- T-Mobile planning to launch Lumia 710 in US | Androsym | December 9, 2011

I think it’s just one of the devices coming out. I’m sure the others will be launched the same time.
This is a serious marketing failure if this is the first phone they unveil for north America. I though there was talk of a massive marketing blitz and the release of a true high end phone to start things off in the USA?
My guess is this is just a soft launch, quite under the radar.
They have practically zero presence on the US soil by now, they have to hire people, train them, put the right processes into place etc.
I think this is the main purpose of this very low profile launch – to prepare everything for the Big Bang.
This seems plausible.
I would have waited for Lumia 900. Maybe go with Lumia 800, but not with Lumia 710.
Unless the contract with this one is really set to be entry level pricing.
This is just the first little dip in US waters. Low profile 710 to go with low profile T-Mobile. Come January it’ll be a much bigger splash when high-profile Lumia 900 hits the shelves of high profile AT&T! Wait and see.
They will probably offer Lumia 800 and 900 for the bigger US carriers (verizon, AT&T).
This is my guess as well. After all, they would have had to re-tune the 800 to fit it with TMobile. That said, having the 800 on TMobile would have been absolutely perfect for me, as I prefer TMobile and their cheap, unlimited data offerings to AT&T’s highway robbery.
I’m not thrilled about the T-Mobile branding. Not keen on having any phone with carrier branding on it.
