Video: Lumia 800 Continues to Get Thrashed with Multiple Drop Tests.

| December 18, 2011 | 22 Replies

Yes I know that’s not a Lumia 800 but since the 800s screen didn’t shatter into a million pieces lesser substitutes will have to do (BADA-DUM). The people from Singapores largest carrier ‘Singtel’ obviously think that yesterdays broken Lumia 800 was photoshopped; so they took to the streets with their own scratch and drop tests. (Just cause she’s a girl doesn’t mean she plays nice with her gadgets).

For those of you who skipped the video (shame on you Y U NO WATCH!!) unsuprisingly the 800 holds up nicely (according to her there are no scratches, but there was no post-drop closeup).

zzz, find the presentation rather corny/”bimbo-tic”, although the information provided was helpful..

I think she enjoyed the wall test and dropping it too much.

All praises goes to N9 and its designers not the Lumia 800.

      +1

    • kintoun says:

It was designed well before N9.

How does it matters after all its a NOKIA and they lived up to the reputation of NOKIA brand. Congrats Team NOKIA for the awesome phone. By the way guys I have got my Lumia 800 a bit disapponted mine is black one wanted the blue one but no issues the device rocks. I aam sure taht I have never ever touched anything so beautiful its an art I mean i dont have words to describe it. I put my mom’s sim she is currently using a Nokia 5233, she is loving it the UI is super fluid I mean she was not comfortable with s60 5th edition UI, although I had no problem with that UI and absolutely love my symbian 3 UI on Nokia N* but the fact that my mother can use it easily with out much mentoring is awesome.

guys Nokia Music is not here, Nokia Store rep told me it will start in india in 2012 Q1. okay I can wait ;) and u know the navigation is in hindi too and some xtra free apps too installed. I mean forget the OS UI the design is so classy even after 10 yrs the device will feel fresh its classic man. the phone is a fun. still xploring :)

Nokia congratulation and thank u very much.

why mynokiablog didnt post the survey result that only 2.2 perxent people definately buy lumia 800

    • MyNokiaLife says:

ggg, Nokia has a special edition “Batman” phone. Apple has a special edition “Yellow Screen” phone. It’s all marketing.

  6. Michael Prince says:

@ggg – They didn’t post because the survey results for the same reason they didn’t post that Nokia declared bankruptcy two Fridays ago. Because all sorts of crap end up on the web … it doesn’t always need to be republished.

    • Kaizer Allen says:

I checked different sites and they’re all saying that Nokia denied those bankruptcy rumors. I guess that’s not happening soon, since Nokia still makes money from Symbian and their featurephones. Not to mention Windows Phone’s early success and the payment they have received from winning the case with Apple; and their regular cash from their patent licensees.

    Love that metallic case http://i.imgur.com/hvpNL.jpg

Well my N9 screen is full of scratches and all thwart I ship is put it in my pocket.

also three corners of the phone are the vulnerable area. I dropped phone and out landed on the corner and ended up with a bump.
