This is GSM Arena’s Nokia Lumia 800 review with both video and written versions available:

  • Easy to spot in a crowd
  • high 251ppi pixel density (pentile thus not noticable)
  • Great screen experience indoors and impresses outdoors
  • N9 one of the brightest AMOLEDS, easily topping SuperAMOLED, at full brightness, 800 was apparently only half that of N9 (which is odd since N9 has overly zealous ambient light sensor so you’ll rarely see it at full brightness. Most of the time it makes the 800 look brighter (set both to 100%/high if you can) ) 800 as bright as superAMOLED on Samsung Omnia W
  • They miss the always on clock. I do too.
  • Included case, thoughtful and sensible
  •  Camera – decent quality, lumia good pics, decent picture quality but more conservative than the behemoth
  • Excellent example of a Windows Phone, a good alternative if you shun Android/iOS, demonstrates how OS has matured, market place gaining apps and Nokia’s wealth of expertise isn’t being squandered. Does the job of Nokia’s new flagbearer and carriers have deemed it popular.
