Nokia Philippines sent over a review unit to Neil but it’s a special packaging, not the usual small cuboid box.
The phone itself, whilst being standard is of course still very, very special.

Except it’s not.
Don’t see anything special either, except the box, which is larger than the retail unit.
As for that USB 3-pin socket, I didn’t know Nokia started moving towards that kind of socket. Based on my limited knowledge of mobile phones, I have yet to see any manufacturer to use that.
Or maybe I’m pretty much out of touch with mobile phone tech these days. :p
my se xperia uses the same 3 pin socket usb
“Special editions” are usually all about the packaging.
They have nothing to do with improving the actual device…
Except for interesting peripherals/accessories sometimes.
Then N9 just looks soo damn beautiful nomater how you look at it… Too bad what i’m looking for is a camera phone to replace me N8. Since i won’t be going WP7, it’d either be the dual core symbian N8 sucessor or be jumping to an android platform..
