Nokia and Monster coming to CES for more new exciting products.
The Monster folks behind Beats and Nokia Purity are apparently joining Nokia again. In just over a week, Nokia and Monster are coming to CES to share new products.
What new accessories do you think these guys should bring?
For me, I want BIGGER over ears. If we’re going to have some loud, bright, over ears, give us some obscene, stand out shouting, over ears
That’s both for aesthetics purposes, but also they because bigger cups can isolate sound better. Maybe give us a whammy extra of the BH-905′s active noise cancellation in addition to improved passive sound cancellation from bigger over ears. Keep the design sleek though. Sleek and curvy. Possibly too late already to make any suggestions, but that’s on my wish list.

… This feels wierd… I know Nokia wants to advertise their Lumia range… But come on… This is a whole level of low with Monster. I really hope this doesn’t tarnish the Nokia brand. I’m quite worried actually.
Propably just cheaper to outsource this stuff to as well. Cut more R&D and few hundreds of expensive engineers.
Thats the new Nokia; stick Nokia logo on other peoples technologies, market and wait for fanbois to buy the stuff. Mediocre, boring and marketable to the masses.
Only a part of the new Nokia. There are still plenty of Nokia made/designed accessories, plenty of hardware and software development and R&D still going on and will, all of the S40/Meltemi etc.
So its – as always and rather obviously – a much broader and complicated picture.
I actually don’t get why Nokia needs to partner with Monster. They can create great headphones themselves, why the need for another brand to create ‘em?
Agreed. Nokia audio products have been excellent in the past. In fact, way better than many established brands and definitely a lot better than Monster. But for the iPhone generation it’s much more about being cool than about good sound. I reckon they’re counting on a sales boost coming from that partnership promotion, though in the end the (good!) quality (hopefully!) might not change so much.
+1 it’s all about Nokia wanting to be associated with the “cool” brands.
Don’t know for sure but my guess is that Elop could be a share-holder of Monster.
lol
Anything new from Monster?
