Video: WP7 style “plate animation” in QML

| January 3, 2012 | 7 Replies

A developer has been experimenting with QML, bringing Windows Phone Metro style animation.

Experimenting with QML plate animation in the latest version of cuteBrain [1]. You can pretty much see all animation code in the window to the left, which shows how extremly powerful QML can be!

I got the idea for this hack from Johannes Zellner’s excellent presentation at Qt Developers World [2].

Note: hacks you see in the animation is from the screen capturing program, the QML animations are extremely smooth.

Bye the way you can design same pleasant core Qt widget interface using Expression Blend. Is this mean making uglier interfaces. It think it just shows how versatile and robust are those framework.
