Nokia Lumia 800 entertainment pack (Accessories galore)

| February 20, 2012 | 32 Replies

Above is apparently the Nokia Lumia 800 entertainment pack, complete with Play 360 speakers, Purity headset and Nokia Luna BT earpiece.

The gallery can be viewed on a flickrset by @bluechrism.

The set can be had in the four Lumia colours – not sure if the white deal gives a white lumia too.

Each of the main accessories comes with their own usual set of accessories. The pack reportedly costs $899.  That’s about £576. Considering the price of each the Play 360, the Purity headset AND Luna, that’s actually a good deal.

I’m really drooling over this. I wish I have the money to buy one of these. Will totally get addicted to my cellphone if I have this.

I’m definitely loving that Nokia music bundle.

I bought one, I haven’t even cracked the Lumia open, never plan to, it’s already up for sale, but all the accessories work amazingly well with my N9. :) The speaker is amazing, I will probably buy another one so I have 2. The purity headset is pretty cool too. I haven’t tested the Luna bluetooth headset yet.

So in the box is each item in a seperate retail box? That was something i forgot to ask about at the Microsoft store when i was in there?

    • Jazz says:

So the Purity HD headset is fully compatible w/the N9?
All the marketing hasn’t bothered to make that clear.
Even on the the official compatibility page it doesn’t seem like it is.

      TY.

Purity HD comes with two changeable cables: Nokia A/V cable for N9 and recent Symbian/Maemo Nokias. Other cable for Lumia and competitor products that use a different plug standard. The cables both have microphones but only the Lumia cable has control buttons also. Tested all this myself.

“Purity HD comes with two changeable cables: Nokia A/V cable for N9 and recent Symbian/Maemo Nokias…”

          Thanks for confirming all this…
So audio and mic works fine for both?

“The cables both have microphones but only the Lumia cable has control buttons also”

          That’s slightly irritating…
AFAIK there’s no technical as-to-why control buttons can’t also have been implemented on the 2nd cable for Symbian/Maemo6x ph’s.

          Cheers.

No, only the cable without the buttons works on the N9. There is one with just a mic and no buttons, that works on the N9. The one with the volume rocker and answer key doesn’t work on the N9.

Thank for confirming the mic works well.

“The one with the volume rocker and answer key doesn’t work on the N9.”

Yes I know he already said that.
But I know of no reason why the one with buttons couldn’t have been made to work.
Other than to serve as an extra promotion/prop for the 800.

              • Arie says:

It’s how Nokia has decided to work with the N9. There was engadget’s review with Peter Skillman and his N9, if you watch again, you’ll see his purity headset doesn’t have the volume rocker buttons either, so this was a design decision from at least before Nokia World.

                • Jazz says:

Ah thanks I’d forgotten about that.
Can be costly turning around around & doing the same for the N9 now.
Esp. since they don’t favor it anywhere near as much as the Lumias nowadays.
                  (did they ever really…)

                  • Arie says:

No, because of Symbian fanboi-ism inside Nokia and the Feb 11, 2011 burning platform memo, the N9 (and N950) have become Nokia’s forgotten children. This is how it will remain and will always be. As an N9 owner I accept this. As a Harmattan supporter, I haven’t yet.

        • Jazz says:

          *BUMP* @Janne

          Thank-you!

    • Shaun says:

Kind of a pity they didn’t put Essence headphones in and an N9 to complete the NFC enabled quartet instead of the Lumia and Monster headphones.

    • viipottaja says:

hey, how much are you selling the lumia for and where is your ad?

  6. bluechrism says:

Thanks for featuring my pictures Jay. Sadly, The store staff couldn’t open the box for me to get a look inside and I can’t justify the cost of buying one (even though I’d love to pair my N9 with the play 360 and purity HD headset).

One things to note is that no part of the entertainment pack is available from the Microsoft store separately. Also, only the black and magenta are in store right now and it seemed you had to ask for them – i didn’t see any Lumia 800′s up front.
