Nokia Conversations has an article about the Carl Zeiss lens used for the Nokia 808 PureView.

http://conversations.nokia.com/2012/03/05/nokia-808-pureview-carl-zeiss-science-of-making-the-perfect-lens/

The lenses on phones being so small have less room for error and as such have to be more accurate. If you recall, I believe Damian mentioned the one in the 808 is about 10x more accurate than typical SLR lens?

Anyway, it’s very interesting, quite a few technical bits but digestable.
