Video: Nokia Lumia Challenge

Filmed at the end of February, this was the Nokia Lumia Challenge. Like the Smoked by Windows Phone thing, though the aim here was more to just highlight what the Lumia is all about and they’re going to do this through challenges. At the beginning we hear of Windows on the Lumia 800 being the fastest offering out there. Even as a fan, I’m not exactly comfortable with that statement – though that sort of boldness is needed in Nokia (perhaps when it can be fully backed up).

The challenge winners will have the opportunity to win £10 if they win. If they lose, they get a £50 voucher (possibly towards a Lumia) and say on video that they’ve just lost to the lumia (Isn’t it disturbing how many iPhone users there are?). Either way, the participating members of the public win something, so good for them.

The challenge will apparently be coming to a city near you. OK. Hope they learn from that Smoked by WP thing. Given that the guys here are the main Nokia UK folks, I doubt that would happen.

I would have loved to have lost to the lumia (I would have fired up my N97) and got a voucher for a lumia. I just bought one the other day for my little sister to replace her C3-01. It’s the 710 which was already a bargain at one particular network. I’ve not actually used a 710 apart from during Nokia World so I might have to play with the 710 a bit before gifting it. Ha.
