Lumiappaday #140: Gorilla Gondola demoed on the Nokia Lumia 800
This is a new type of game for me, it’s called Gorilla Gondola. You have a gorilla on a cable car gondola, and you have to help him catch bananas, other point scoring items and avoid obstacles.
Control is based on swiping up to jump, swiping down (whilst midair) to slam down and using the accelerometer to move side to side.
There are various different scenes divided into levels and within those levels itself are different ‘phases’ each of which can be quite varied themselves. We’ve only gone so far as to show the demo here.
It is a really vibrant and colourful game, shame I couldn’t demo that (as I was just using the trial) but you can see in the screenshots at the marketplace link what I’m on about.
