Up to 400 Symbian developers leave Accenture

According to YLE, from the 1,200 Symbian developers that were transferred to Accenture, up to 400 have left, accepting severance packages (can be worth between 15months to just a few months of salary). Accenture has not confirmed this number. Although they did apparently say that packages had been offered to those former Nokia employees who were yet to find new responsibilities at Accenture.

Why were they leaving? Apparently there’s so little work that workers are just left twiddling their thumbs.

Shop steward,  Sami Sallmén says,

Workers have not exactly been pleased with their new employer, and they want to seek new challenges outside the company

Sure, at first it was a positive thing.

There were maybe more different tasks at Accenture than at Nokia. After it went through, it has been hassle and negative feedback the whole time
