Leaked: Nokia 306 – first full touch S40 or a new Symbian?
This just appeared, looking a little like the Nokia 600 but in the 3 series (306) we have a full touch screen phone from Nokia. It’s NOT a Windows Phone, there’s no Windows style buttons around.
It could be Symbian, but I think it might be that leaked full touch S40 experience.

Could be Meltemi too !:)))
Annethe, according to a Nokia insider , Meltemi can not only be used in low and midrange devices , but can also be scaled for high end devices ! Just a rumour AFAIK , but we know that Meltemi is Linux based as is Meego , so it makes sense to me !
well this devices to hit market soon are a new fulltouch series om s40 and will be awsome at ultra cheap price points and is s40 new edition not meltemi, meltemi is the next version of maemo harmattan and will also be used by mobile phones unit but will hav new devices coming out not before nokia world…. The new strategy afaik is like samsung’s with java based low end champ range and then bada but nokia’s meltemi will be more powerful and scalable it is takin tym as they rewrite the kernel the new lite kernel will run meltemi on low spec chipset and ir u want n9 or more powerful stuff switch back to already developed harmattan kernel… Also note only meltemi will run qt stack and we may see many kind of meltemi devices includingnlow end everyday tablet type devices at very low prices to capture market share whereas windows 8 will rule high end…. And for sonic java will be used not qt as u guys know its a technical reason. Also as elop stated all missing features from symbian coming on windows there is no more reason to hate windows they are addressing all gaps thats gud and q2-q3 will be the period the giant reverses bak out of red…. Atleast chances are gr8
^Sounds okay-ish but not likely at all…
And many Symbian/Maemo+MeeGo users aren’t interested if they’ve zero plans to scale Meltemi to top-end devices.
If they guarantee/demonstrate that that is the plan longer-term, “then” there’ll be lots of interest.
