Theres a 808 proto on sale on ebay. I checked the seller and looks legit, do you recommend it??
No. I’d be weary of Amazon listings too. Try and research the seller to see if they look legit. I doubt any 808 should be on sale on eBay right now.

Just don’t forget protos don’t have e.g. noise reduction in photo or image stabilization in video mode. Dunno if you can flash an official firmware on them.

handtec has a preorder for 409.99gbp and clove has it @ 420gbp (this is not including VAT btw) they’re uncertain about the final price though until they hear from Nokia supposedly
Mine is pre-ordered from Clove, they’ve yet to amend their text of “Official availability to be confirmed” and “First stock expected 14th May”
So there’s a chance – only a chance – that this time next week I may have an 808 (of undetermined colour) in my grubby paws.
Only catch is that I’ll have to order a darned MicroSIM cutter.
NOKIA ARE A JOKE!!! They told us this phone was coming out this month (they showd this fon in barcalona nearlly 2months ago). Look at samsung on thursday the showed the world galaxy s3 the nex day carphonewarehouse start tahkin orders & others phone companys And am sure it will be out within 2WEEKS! Nokia alwys sooooooooooo slow with this shit And am getting fed with that.And top of that they dont even kno how to advertize ther fons proply anymore. no wonder samsung are number 1 in th world now!

Nokia stated at MWC that they were still finalising the imaging components, if you had any ideas about software development you’d realise that these things shouldn’t be rushed. And that the 808 is using some interesting custom hardware, kudos to them for getting it out this month.
Samsungs “efforts” with the SGS3 aren’t even vaguely comparable to what Nokia are doing with the 808.
SGS3 is a typical product evolution – there is nothing that exciting about it; and getting Android devices out the door is akin to building a PC – its just simple box shifting, all the interesting work (such as it is), is handled by Google.

lol imagine if samsung did announce it at mwc, they will probably become a joke.
SGIII will likely have the dual core Krait in the USA, not the quad core. And ya, a little faster SoC and a larger screen, another subpar camera. Wow, it takes my breathe away….:/
That flimsy disposable Galaxy is not for us that really want the 808, and the 808 isn’t for people who like pissing contests.
