Stormtrooper White Lumia 900 (Non-US Model) Unboxing

| May 29, 2012 | 15 Replies

I’m not exactly sure what the “official” name for the non-US version of the 900 is (back at MWC they were calling it the Rest-of-World or ROW); anyways my annoying friend Sam :P who I met at MWC got his hands on a white version and spent most of the unboxing video teasing me about it; since I haven’t gotten one yet.  No matter; hopefully soon enough I’ll have my own enjoy the video guys: (also note that this version comes with headphones unlike the US version)-

(I was actually planning on holding off from posting any of these till I got my own and filmed it but oh well..)

Looks much better than the US version which was littered with AT&T logo but still No Android = No sales.

  3. dss says:

The Canadian version doesn’t have any logos as well.

But have LTE right? I wonder if that has a name / code of its own or if it is RM-808 too. Probably has its own. Nokia’s material only mentions AT&T and Global variants though. Of course many phones have specific submodels so the list of those may be very long…

      • dss says:

Yes, i believe it has LTE. Speaking of which.. i really wish they would have done something about the SoC they used.. the LTE chip is not built in, and that makes it too hungry. Just compare it to the HTC One X for ATT which has the krait soc

The official name / code is:

    Global variant / RM-823

    The “AT&T variant” is RM-808. Yes, 808. :)

i’d take good headphones over paying extra for LTE any day of the week. And I know Nokia’s headphones are great

      +1
Especially the way LTE’s currently implemented for the Lumias.
I have 1x LTE phone, it’s quite common already amongst networks here.
And it alone hasn’t been a killer feature for me…
Nice to have amongst a suite of things….
But nothing truly amazing in RW terms/use on it’s own.

Can this be flashed to use with MeeGo like N9?
