Very good entry price and already it is possible to find cheaper. However, if you’re interested in the 610, why not go for 800 instead. Currently it can be bought for as little as £15.50 per month and you get a free Monster Nokia Purity Headset – worth between £126-182 depending on where you shop, if you pick it up today.
I believe the contract prices will remain the same. You may be limited on the the available minutes/text/data on similar contract prices when RRP of the phone is higher.

You’ll also note that this might be only for Orange. Total contract price is £372. The call/text/data bundle would be worth about £10/month so that’s potentially £132 over the 2 years. I’d want more data though.

This month this phone was launched in my country, with tons of ads on tv, but only on a few channels. it’s about 99 euros now on contract. also 2 weeks ago the 610 was launched, 70 euro on contract if i remember right

Much more sensible given that the WP7 phones are quite possibly going to be obsolete in a few months.
Why? Will they suddenly stop being able to receive calls or texts or browse the web?
Yes, that’s obviously what ‘obsolete’ means. Oh, and they’ll zap kittens in a 50 ft radius too.
You know it really sucks that nokia and MS want to break into the US market so badly, yet they never offer us any free gifts with phones.
News flash, americans love free stuff.
That deal that was run last year overseas for a free xbox would have been a massive hit here.
