Nokia gets 4 month Lumia product placement deal for Hollyoaks
Hollyoaks is a TV drama in the UK, geared towards the relatively younger population. I guess there’s some interesting story plots and such but really, it’s more for this kinda thing no? :p http://imgur.com/gqjqF Well they’re not always in that attire. There’s eye candy for both the gents and ladies and now, for Nokia Lumia/WP fans.
Info from DigitalSpy (entertainments website) says that on May 31st, Nokia signed a four month product placement deal that will see characters using the Nokia Lumia 710/800, as well as characters wearing Nokia Monster Purity headsets as well as adverts from the village bus stop.
Rob Ramsey, Channel 4′s parnership leader says:
The Nokia Lumia phone range is a terrific fit for Hollyoaks‘s young and savvy audience, and I’m delighted to be announcing this new partnership between Channel 4, Lime Pictures and Nokia.
It’s the second major product placement deal we’ve agreed for Hollyoaks in 2012 and is a fantastic example of the targeted and innovative deals Channel 4 and Lime Pictures can offer across our content and platforms”
Everyone should use the Cyan Lumias. It’s more synonymous for Lumia and Nokia. Hopefully not too expensive. I think this is a good job to get Lumias noticed a little bit more. This product placement will last all the way up I guess until end of September, by which time we should have some new WP8 Lumias that will hopefully be a much more compelling product.

[Hey, right about now I'm several thousand feet up in Finnair]

Wow, that’s cool. About time anyway, since iPhones and Blackberries have been featured in TV shows and series for quite a while.
Uhmmmmm.. Where Can I get some UK TV?? (I just wanna see the Lumias
)
Wow. This seams like a great deal. Nokia should do deals with more TV Shows, so that people would reckognise the phone as a Lumia right away.
I preferred the eye candy photo.
This is good news. More Lumia exposure, the better. I wish some of the future Lumias will be featured on any Marvel Cinematic Universe film because that’s one of the hottest movie franchises of today. Or perhaps on the next season of American Idol since they’re using the Nokia Theatre during their finale night.
I’ve love some lumias on Game of Thrones though it will be a stretch to explain the presence of a mobile phone. Perhaps they could have an unbreakable ore mineral called ‘Nokia’ (there’s already a mod on minecraft for such a thing).
It would be neat to see Tony Stark using an upcoming nokia. Is that place still called Nokia Theatre? I thought nokia (unfortunately) gave up on that?
Yeah, it’s still called Nokia Theatre up to this day. Tony Stark notoriously used a couple of LG phones in Iron Man and a concept device in Iron Man 2. So, seeing Robert Downey Jr. use a Nokia phone is going to give the Lumias the boost/hype they need. He’s the most popular Avenger right now, he even surpassed Cap.
Edit: So, seeing a Nokia phone in an MCU movie is possible. I hope Nokia and Microsoft sees that opportunity. (Both of them have deep enough pockets than LG to pay for the placement, I think.)
Sorry but nokia so far only showed up in nolan’s batman films
The film will most probably be good because Nolan knows his stuff, and given his track record; whether the film is necessary to conclude the franchise is still debatable, though. DC Comics has a slew of historical and well-known characters than Marvel, but because Marvel unified the universe of their heroes in movies, people got interested and embraced the idea of having a world where all these powerful individuals (Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Nick Fury) can exist – and not a separate one for each hero like, say, Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Jonah Hex, which is DC’s model and the main reason why most of their movies fail as of late.
The iconic conclusion of Nolan’s Batman franchise will surely boost the sales of the Nokia Lumia 900. I just hope they give the product some “prominent” screen time, just like what they did to the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic back in 2008 with The Dark Knight. I remember that phone’s pretty popular because the folks tied it to Christian Bale’s character. Here’s to hoping the Lumia 900 will replicate that effect! Keeping my fingers crossed.
P.S.: Wow, I just read what I wrote and I’m all over the place there. But I know you catch my drift!
