Lumiappaday #210: TV Guide+ demoed on the Nokia Lumia 800

This may be another UK useful only app sorry, but it’s one I’ve found quite useful for me. It’s a TV Guide app called TG Guide+. It’s even more useful for folks with a Sky+ subscription but even without it, it’s pretty useful.

So all the content you’d have from the TV guide on your set top boxes can be seen here. You can browser the channels by categories (e.g. sport) or search for particular shows/channels. I like that you can look up series/movies. Just the rating system alone for the most popular/requested series is pretty useful for discovering something new and interesting to watch.

You can select a channel as your favourite and  you can then download the info from your favourite channels so you can view them offline. It could do with a little more metrofying I guess, e.g. clicking on show info. It kinda feels like the TV set top box’s TV guide just on a phone. Text may also be a little too small for some.
