WP Vs. iOS: App Design Comparison- Feat. Lumia 710

Personally App design is more important than actual function; yes I’m one of those people who prefer form over function simply because I want to enjoy what I’m doing, which is mainly one of the reasons why I loved WP; regardless of the number of apps the fact that they just look good plastered on my screen makes up for a missing feature here or there; I’m sure not everyone would agree but once again that’s my personal preference. Of course most WP apps are just as functional as their counterparts on different OSes if not slightly more functional (prime example is Facebook for WP); all that aside I personally believe that the panoramic metro style of switching through panes to get more content is  perfect for apps as it gives more flexibility to the developer and the user (each “sub menu” can have it’s own screen rather than ending up as a mess of menu hierarchy- which was the down fall of symbain originally).

The nice folks at Pocketnow put together a nice gallery comparing some of the more popular apps between iOS (on the iphone 4S?? or is that the 4?) against WP 7.5 (on the Lumia 710- which btw looks dashing with that yellow rim)-

Now that you’ve seen a couple comparisons what are your thoughts? iOS is built upon having a unified setting/share/edit bar on the top of the screen which almost always will end up dictating the design of all apps; meanwhile WP has the menu popping up from the bottom (when pressing on the  three dots)  while also giving some flexibility to the devs. to choose the icons for these options as well as adding other buttons elsewhere; so basically it comes down to unification vs. Beauty which would you prefer?
