Toshl (finance tracking app) is a great app that I first used on Maemo 5, then Symbian and finally Windows Phone. They’re currently on my todo list for lumiappaday.

After taking the time to put their app out to Windows Phone, it is very disheartening to hear they’re having problems publishing their apps to marketplace.

I’ve not encountered similar stories yet from other developers so I’m not sure if this is a widespread thing. The ones I’ve heard are Nokia related wp developers who Nokia helped and they’ve had a more pleasant time with Nokia support. MS, with Nokia’s critical help has made Marketplace relevant, boosting its app numbers to over 100,000. Developer support is utterly important for Windows Phone’s success. So much so that they were prepared to throw Nokia under a buss with the WP8/WP7.8 early announcement.

Why make things difficult for your developers too, MS? Perhaps they’re learning too much from Nokia’s book of ‘making everything as difficult for yourself as possible”.

Cheers outdated os for the tip
