NOKIA Update for Windows Phone for Nokia Lumia 900 too? + Demo filmed with Nokia 808 PureView
I saw a draft by Ali an hour ago about a mysterious update for his Nokia Lumia 900. Mine popped up with a notification for an update too and is currently in the middle of an install.
All it tells me right now is NOKIA update for Windows Phone. Not sure what else is there. Currently, Nokia Lumia 800/710s are getting a more substantial update too. I haven’t fired up my 800 in a while to get that update. I’ll check it later.

I agree with Ali. The naming of WP updates suck.
Edit (Ali): Just a side note, the video was filmed with 808 (although I chose 720 instead of 1080), I was really blown away by the sound quality; especially when played back on the 808 over the purities with the “Dolby Studio” active, and of course the zoom function is pretty awesome

Before the haters come out, please understand that the lumia 900 did not flop. AT&T sold 5.1 million smartphones last quarter, 3.7 of those were iPhones. Out of the last 1.4 million, assuming that the Lumia 900 sold 330000 – 360000, it sold around a quarter of all non-iPhones on AT&T. The Lumia 900 was the top selling non-iPhone on AT&T, beating out popular models like the Skyrocket, Note, Atrix 2, Galaxy 2, One X, Titan, Titan II, Focus S, Focus Flash, and Focus 2.
I got the update for my 800 a couple of days ago. Main thing for me is that tethering has been enabled so I can use it as a hotspot for my Nexus 7.

And i thought Nokia devices cant be used as tethers for android devices? like my n8 and the samsung tab. =(
I have the older version you mentioned and when connected to Zune I receive no notification about an available update.

Actually, Nokia in Chile just introduced the Lumia 900, and it’s coming out of the box with 8779.12201.
