This is another wonderful example of the Nokia 808 PureView in action.

Title: The Wailers, Is This Love, O2 Shepherds Bush, London July 4th 2012

You can see both the low light capabilities, pureview zoom and rich recording all in action. One gadget, no additional camera needed, no mechanical zooming or big DSLR heft with you.

As i mentioned in another post, i took my 808 out to a summer bash here in my town to get some low light pics/vids and they came out awful! I had orbs all the time, and terrible glare from the screen that protects the lens, almost ‘plasma’ like stuff showing up in the shots. I had to bail and go home as my blood started to boil from not getting good pictures. Never had the glare problem on my N8. :/

The orb thing used to happen on my N8 and i have seen it on my 808 too. it happens when there is moisture or minute dust on the lens glass. use a good microfiber cloth and clean the lens regularly. my low light shots come out perfectly! Stop whining!

      • Mapantz says:

I’m perfectly entitled to whine when i’ve spent £520
There’s a problem somewhere, and the glaring is awful, it even appears on the videos, so please, don’t reply with the ‘whining’ card, it get’s old.

Please post the video where this is visible.

  2. My problem has been with mic placement. My right hand tends to cover the right mic and block out or scuff the sound.

  3. Ronald says:

Its sad that you are experiencing problems with you’re 808. I have not encountered any errors at all so far
