We’ve been championing the works of   since the N8 and it’s no surprise why we do because his work on these Nokia imaging devices are stunning!

Check out his latest work on a production level Nokia 808 PureView (hence why his first amazing clips with the 808 disappeared because they weren’t quite yet final 808s).

I love the slow glide from 1:22. I feel like I’m watching a movie or a quality series like Game of Thrones (Come on Season 3!!!)

Just yesterday I finally got a factory line version of Nokia 808 Pureview to my hands! Great! I shot so many shots during two days at summer cottage. So here’s a little glimpse to what I have been shooting. The rest comes later. I hope you’ll enjoy.

All video clips shot using only Nokia 808 Pureview and tripod. All other clips are untouched except the second last. I added a little contrast and warmer hue to it. It would have needed even more warmer hue.

Jay , would you mind if we post this link to a Poll?
We are trying to find an idea of how many Australians have bought or are considering the 808 etc.

@Jay: would you like to visit my Flickr:
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/edwin_surijah/

Not anywhere near Richard Dorman quality but I am learning here =)

    • stylinred says:

wow those are excellent i wish i could snap shots like that :/

you should add them to the pureview groups excellent

      • Edwin says:

Many thanks for visiting my Flickr… I tried to join the group since Nokia N8 era but it failed.

        • stylinred says:

oO i don’t understand just click on the join group button and you’re in but you have to manually add your photos to each group for them to show up in there

          • Edwin says:

they keep saying: “your pictures is already in the group” or “your picture is not suitable….etc.”
I also can’t comment on your photostream…. they say that my post is a spam. Btw, I really love your “Peach” pictures. How did you take that?? Very stunning.

            • stylinred says:

ah that sucks i guess you’ve been marked as a spammer account? flickr usually deletes those my first account was deleted because i simply used flickr as a image hosting site instead of strictly my own photos :/ (thats why my acct isnt called stylinred)

hey thank you, i was simply eating fruits today and had the bowl on my lap and decided to try and take a few pictures ;) it actually took me many shots to get them clear… i dunno my 808 is really buggy

              • Edwin says:

Try to reboot and unplugged the battery for 20sec. I reboot my phone at least 3 times and had to unplug the battery once. I rebooted it just to make sure things start up fresh. Just my old habit from N97 era.

Got to say the Peach series look like a professional shot.

                • stylinred says:

ah that’s really weird that sucks :/ i dont know what you could do other than msg flickr about it.

in regards to the fruit, really?! thanks!

Shameless self-promotion of my PureView shots http://www.flickr.com/pureview (first dibs!) :D

        • stylinred says:

you guys really need to start sharing them in the 808 pureview groups

great pics! so many views and you haven’t shared them in any groups awesome ;)

  4. Yeah! My page! :D I’ve been asking you to check it out for a while now. Strictly Photography. No videos. No weddings. No models. Do give it a look. Go to photos instead of looking at the timeline itself.

You won’t be disappointed. ALL from a single NOKIA :D

  5. jake20 says:

why does all 808 video seem soft, and not very sharp?

  6. mat ackermann says:

Hi, I’ve made a live music video, in low light, with a steadycam for those who are interested. Thanks.

  7. BJ says:

It seems improperly graded, too contrasty and flat. It also lacks motion blur instead presenting every frame as if the original framerate was several times more than what it actually is. It doesn’t look impressive at all.

    • stylinred says:

” It also lacks motion blur instead presenting every frame as if the original framerate was several times more than what it actually is.”

      what?

      • BJ says:

If you shoot real 24 fps then your camera would keep the shutter open for 1/24th of a second, capturing every movement that’s occurring during this time. Therefore every quickly moving object such as tree branches on a windy day would appear in a blur. What the 808 does is capture every frame at possibly 1/100th of a second but then presenting only 24 of those frames in the video file which makes it look somewhat unreal. Motion blur is eliminated using this approach.

  8. K says:

Can anybody post the estimated sales figure of 808
