Lumiappaday #257: National Flags Quiz demoed on the Nokia Lumia 900

This app has been around for a while, and with the Olympics going on, it might be quite timely to see how much of these world flags you can name.

The app has a practice mode and a timed mode. You choose from the whole world or a particular continent. A flag is presented at random and you are given 4 options. Touch the correct one. If you’re right, you get a ding and the name lights up green. If you’re wrong, your choice is in red and you’re provided with the right answer in green. You’ll need to click next to proceed. In the timed mode, there is no need to press next as you will just cycle through the next options, right or wrong.

The Olympics officials might find something like this useful, and can avoid mix ups like the North/South Korean flag that led specsavers to come out with this ad:
