Lumiappaday #268: Dalton The Awesome demoed on the Nokia Lumia 900
There are plenty of running style games at Marketplace, but my favourite was the one we demoed on the Nokia N9 first, Dalton The Awesome.
This app is free (no ads) and plays the same as the N9 version.
Press the screen to jump. Long press to jump longer/higher. Get hearts to improve lives and powerups to kill enemies. Avoid touching them if you don’t have powerups.

N9 also have this game…
I’ve played it on N9 and N8, and it lags on both.
Is this version better?
Funny, doesn’t lag on my N9 at all.
I guess I must be taking crazy pills and/or all the mexican peyote I ate must be giving me flashbacks.
Happy to hear that your video game doesn’t lag every time your N9 has an event, or at the start of every level until you jump for the first time. I guess I should stop eating peyote.
No lags on N8 (Anna, Belle). I’v seen lags on Lumia, but every 3-party program on WP lags.
every one you say? thanks for testing out all of them for me. phew, dont have to waste my time no more.
It’s great that the developer was able to port this from Symbian over to WP. I wasn’t interested in it for my N8, but will definitely take a look at it when I purchase a Nokia WP.
The 808 plays this fluidly……..does not even start on my friends N8
Maybe they need to find the correct version. There’s even one on s60v3. (where’s my other post?)
Not sure about that.
I’ve tried various versions (from kosher store bought to slightly dubious sourced variants), and the N8 can sometimes run them fine – but invariably it runs slow, and almost always kills off the phone once the game closes. Often requires a reboot.
On the 808 its fine.
Nice game, somewhat disconcerting having the scenes switch though. Would be nice if it were a bit more seamless like Tiny Wings.
I have this on my 701!
nice game
It worked on my Nokia 5233 too! No lags on Lumia 800
