Collection: Tiny Creatures shot on Nokia 808 PureView

| August 12, 2012 | 17 Replies

Here’s a collection of tiny creatures captured with the Nokia 808 PureView. Using the PureView class zoom, you get closer to your subjects without physically intruding in their space and scaring them away. You don’t lose quality (that you would otherwise lose if you tried to zoom in post production). The zoom is quick and noise free, and the AF can handle getting focus on your close up subjects.

Apparently some stabilisation from youtube was applied which actually made it more wobbly.

i find youtubes stabilisation to be rather good however it kind of degrades the PQ :/

I’ve been amazed at these insect/etc shots by people I can’t even press down on the shutter before they fly away let alone find the right distance for focusing ;)

Hi guys, I took this macro picture of a flying ant using the “reversed lens” technique: http://www.flickr.com/photos/fcon/7716581452/

For those of you that do not know this technique, take a look at this link: http://stephenelliot.com/2007/05/15/reverse-lens-macro-photography-tutorial/

In my case, I used a Contax (ie. Carl Zeiss) G 45/2 lens that I had since the film days.

    very amazing photo

Video really is amazing when still, but once you start moving… the framerate drops like crazy and the video becomes very shaky, jittery and just not good.

I wonder what is this fault of? Framerate drops or the sensor? DSLR videos when panning around look more stable.

  13. reasonable priced 6 million, the snap like a dslr. and for samsung fanboy, can your phone do this? :p
