Registration For Nokia Event in New York Open For All (Free)

As you might have heard, this year Nokia is holding back to back events on Sept. 5th starting with a press/carrier (closed) event in Finland and a second larger public event in New York City. Today registration for the New York event has opened up online, and it’s free open to everyone above 18 years of age. So if you’re in town why not stop by? Anyone planning on going? Also act fast as space is limited so you might not have long to register.

As I said in my tip, damn I wish I could be in NYC that day!
Sorry missed the tip. As do we all! They ask if your currently using a Nokia WP so I think they might be passing some out!
Oh did not mean it as a complaint, just that I was saying the same thing twice.
Not at all, credit given where credit is due!
I am going! I already registered, I’ll try some snaps and clips with my Pureview 808,
Great, make sure to send them to Jay et al so they can post them here!
+1
Registered and going! Hopefully when they start throwing the new phones around for people to catch, one won’t end up hitting me in the face, seeing as I’ll be showing everyone my N9
hehe
I think this New York event will mainly have the purpose of letting US costumers see and try the new range of Lumia phones that will be announced at Nokia World in the same day. It’s just that probably the US will receive some carrier specific variants of each phone and that kind of information isn’t relevant for an European event. So it makes sence to have this 2 events.
Still not sure if the “different continents = diferente strategies” is the right thing to to (at least in Europe/USA) or even in the US “different carriers = different phones”. I think Nokia should creat 3 new Lumias (hight end, low end and one between these two) and those phones should go to every country, to every carrier (or at least to the ones that want to sell it).
I bet they partially did this to help stop too many dodos from trying to crash the morning event
