Carl Zeiss links to Nokia’s teaser that things are about to change :)
@SirajSoft just tweeted a link to the Carl Zeiss facebook page. They mention Nokia’s little teaser and say they’re curious as to what’s about to change.
Ok, now we are curious. Any guesses what this teaser by Nokiacould be about? And what things are about to change?
Carl Zeiss must have worked on the new Lumia and it seems (or I’m hoping) they’re quietly proud of the result as they seem to agree (by sharing the teaser) that things are about to change.
Hopefully it’s not simply a Lumia branded with Carl Zeiss. I’d like to see performance that made Nokia Carl Zeiss cameras renowned in the first place. Or perhaps it’s something completely different?

For a while I was playing with the idea of a 3d Camera, since I saw one tweet that said
“If a picture is worth 1000 words, how much is a 3d one worth?”
can’t remember who tweeted that but it was one of the Nokia guys, but they could have been talking about 3d Maps.
3D camera phone?
Carl Zeiss have also been working hard on the 3D AMOLED Cinemizer headset, and it’s about time to start pushing it out to buyers. Pair it with a phone that has HDMI out and it should make for a good portable cinema experience. HDMI 3D support for Windows Phone 8 maybe?
Now I am sure there will be Lumia Pureview on 5th.
So nokia is responding with such hints to what samsung does., Launched the very first wp8 phone. Haha th3 mobile world is at war
I m very sure about the announcment of lumia pureview in nokia world…….but u guys have any info about some asha phones to be unvieled at nokia world?
Ho hum, a big Lumia wp8 with pv 21mp camera, and?
maybe that’s all…. nothing else…
I doubt that’s all. I expect 1-2 more lower end Lumia devices beside the new high-end flagship.
Maybe some Asha love prior or after the Lumia event if we’re lucky. And if we’re really lucky, a Lumia tablet, but I doubt it.
BT4.0
What else would you need? That would be great.
@Paul…For many WP fans, that’s enough; and will definitely be enough for me and my money
Yeah Carl Zeiss optics, maybe “futuristic optics” are there…
… The wait is on.
Too bad it will be in an Asha device…. XD
Asha with Zeiss optics?
If Nokia can install a Carl Zeiss 5MP camera on a budget phone like the 6700 Slide, why not an Asha one?
The way I understand this is that Carl Zeiss DOESN’T know what the teaser is about. Why else would they say “Ok, now WE are curious. Any guesses what the teaser is about? if they would know and be part of it?
But they may be bluffing so….
That is a fair point and I thought about it too. The wording could be so just to avoid any NDA breeches. They are merely discussing a public event, not disclosing anything. Of course the idea being that by association people will (as they do) figure out their participation…
I seriously doubt Carl Zeiss would have posted something like this if they didn’t have a hand to play in the product(s) announced on September 5th.
They wanted to tickle our mind… They are showing some participation in the event…wanted to be recognized huh.. Tease me more.
i think shake free shouting/better low light performance/sensitivity use of graphene in sensor!!!
If this is indeed pureview, then allthough they reveal it the 5. sep, dont we have to wait for the official launch anyway (Late oct) for the products to be buyable?
Probably yeah.
Hope all this will bring the price of the 808 down and I can finally be able to afford it!
All these teasers give me geeky pre-***! I’m so excited I just can’t hide it!
Nokia seems to be obliged to spread such teasers in respond to which samsung did lately. Now look what happened samsung, slap your own phone to your face. We are expecting a king’s return
the work with carl zeiss optics is a outstanding good step. finally your mobile can take some decent pictures
Did you never see some other nokia devices with carlszeiss optics like n82, n95, n8, 808….
sure i am aware that they use those lenses.. but never in combination with a decent OS.
You bet, Carl Zeiss optics was the clincher for me when I decided to go with the N8 for my first smartphone, I had a 35mm Contax RTS with Zeiss lenses for about twenty years, sold the lenses a couple of months ago for more then I paid for them.
tell me about. i was trying to get some carl zeiss lenses for my pentax. but the prices are insane..
I think, they are talking about Nokia Lumia PureView with interchangeable lenses. It will change things
would be really great!!! but I think it’s not going to happen, at least not this year!!
with “…things are about to change” they probably “just” mean the new wp8 lumia with pureview camera! (and you should keep in mind that there was almost no official advertising for pureview after release of the 808, so they want to do this with theire wp-pureview phone)
More new Ashas soon would be awesome! It would put Samsung and all Android makers under huge pressure at the low end. Also it would be awesome to see a lower end Nokia WP device. A WP8 Nokia at 100-120 Euro would be amazing, if it’s possible.
hurry up september 5th !!
I dont think Nokia needs to release a Pure View camera at this launch, an N8 quality camera would be more than enough to grab some headlines.
All WP8 manufacturers will use the same SoC so its about camera, product size & battery life.
2 phones will be announced next week – a mid range handset with the usual 8mp camera and its larger 4.7″ brother with the same 12mp module as the N950.
I love Nokia’s products, but I’m not expecting miracles. IMO they’ll hold off on the Lumia PureView until CES 2013.
What i do not realize is in reality how you’re not actually much more smartly-favored than you might be right now. You’re
so intelligent. You know therefore significantly on the subject of this topic, made me
personally imagine it from so many numerous angles. Its like men and women don’t seem to be involved unless it’s something to do with Girl gaga!
Your individual stuffs excellent. All the time care for it up!
