Rumours: Nokia PureMotion HD screen to blow socks off? Sunday sneak peek for PureView Lumia?
Seems the hype machine does not rest on the weekend. Three related stories.
First up, the Nokia Lumia 920′s screen is supposed to have something called PureMotion HD that will blow your socks off. Source? I can’t find one. I can’t see any tweets mentioning it though tipper Janimatik says it’s from several sources. Take this one with a pinch of salt.
Second, TomWarren from WinRumours and TheVerge seems to be in the know of the upcoming Nokia Lumia handsets. We’ve previously reported Tom’s comments with Nokia’s Dave Trevaskus, mentioning that he thinks it will blow the socks off ATIV-S from Samsung. Now he’s saying that for those interested in PureView Lumia should be online on Sunday (cheers Michael)
Finally, Nokia appears to be teasing about the upcoming colours for the new Lumia. First confirmed by the JBL PlayUp speakers and now…socks! (Cheers Vedhas Patkar)

Btw, was anyone able to find the source(s) of this Puremotion HD rumor?
What if it was the tipster messing with all our little brains? 
So I guess if we are really lucky we might see another PV teaser video or sample pics tomorrow?

No; but I guess it refers to crazy stabilization and not the screen.

Using those terms wouldn’t be a bad idea after all. PureX is easy for people to understand what it does. Bur ffs, explain what those terms mean.

Of course if Nokia uses such a term it will be for stabilization. The lady in 21 sec video waves her hand and then makes a zero means no shakes.

Is puremotion HD similar to sony’s Motionflow 200mhz(200fps)?
If that is true than it will be anhilating Google’s project butter
Perhaps same display than in LG Optimus G? IPS+ HD?
Lg is one of Nokias screen supplier, rumoured resolution is the same (1280×768), Nokia isn’t straight competitor (wp-android) etc.
These are the colour of devices which will get launched on 5th…

If WP8 PureView will take better pictures than the N8, I’ll be impressed. It obviously won’t better 808, but beating the N8 will be very impressive, it’s still an old king, the second best cameraphone.

Oh come on, you have been dissing everything Nokia WP-related for the last existing era, and suddenly you are getting positive about WP8 PureView? Please, be a man and stick to your original fixation.

PuremotionHD will be manufactured by LG. It will be the True HD IPS+ display.

That’s what I have heard too. I wonder if they use CBD with True HD IPS+?
That same display is used in LG Optimus G and screen have had positive previews. Will it be even better with CBD?

I’ll give Nokia the benefit of the doubt, but they’ve left me disappointed far too many times now to get excited until Wednesday.
P.S I wasn’t expecting purple handsets but I like the idea.
I’ve got this crazy idea about the 21 sec woman running ad – what if the camera was being held by somebody running next to the bicycle? That would be the ultimate video stabilization setup, like a Steadicam rig but in a phone.

Only 2 phones have impressed me so far, the N8 and 808.. The latter will certainly take some beating and i doubt Wp8 can do it.

You’re in Australia, they’re still floating about for very cheap, IF you do your homework.
They won’t be around for much longer though, I give it 2mth MAX, before all the stock dregs are purged.

Only their PLANS are being revealed this year, they’ve never said it’ll be on shelves this yr.
It could potentially be as long as 10mth away, if it doesn’t land on shelves till 6mth after announcement, & the announcement is end of Dec.
You do yourself a disservice not getting this 2nd-last true Nokia ph, the Jolla device will be very different, your call ofc.
yeh, they said ” the product will be announced this year” though they havent said when released.
Right, their plans, which includes a product/s, extremely unlikely it’ll be available on the day of announcement, or even 1mth later.
1-6mth is more probable, beyond that the chances of them succeeding rapidly diminish, so you’re waiting up to 10-mth, hopefully not more.

He may have spoken in that context, but to be clearer to other posters saying PureMotion HD would’ve made more sense.
Anyway, we now know there will be no teaser…
I hope it isn’t that weird trick 120 hertz TV’s do that make everything look like a soap opera by injecting a made up frame in-between real frames.
