Here are a couple of promo videos for the new Nokia Asha Touch smartphones, Nokia Asha 308 and 309. I already liked the design at launch but I’m loving it even more by the day. It’s possibly the best looking budget phone, no?

Same issue with Symbian phones, the damn keyboard; just fix it for the Ashas and they will sell like hotcakes..
Yes, I agree with you, Jay. These designs I am loving as well. I really wish I could watch the videos (our mindless govt has blocked youtube here). These are the designs I could recommended to people who ask me simple budget phones to buy. My sister included these days she wanting a simple low cost phone.
We are probably in the same country… I do not understand why Nokia doesn’t upload these videos to Youku as well. This is a huge market especially for Ashas (inexpensive, but still “smartphones”), but no way to access promo videos about these phones here. Shouldn’t be that difficult, yet could possibly increase sales…
Best looking budget phone? I would go as far as to say that it easily rivals many high end smartphones in terms of design. Certainly better looking than majority of Androids especially Droid.
Yes, I agree totally. Those entry level Androids? Can’t even talk about those on a same day. These Ashas are great phones, no matter what those idiot-commenters on Youtube are saying. Such ignorant people… And yes, these phones actually work, not just lags and runs out of battery in a couple of hours.

There may be some debate as to whether these can be thought of as smartphones, but in many ways the 308 and 309 seem to out-spec the likes of the iPhone and iPhone 3G, and also almost the whole S60v5 range except in cameras and multitasking.
And they are definitely better looking.
With these and the 820, 920, Nokia now have amongst the best phones at all ends if the market.
The no 1 challenge now for Nokia is marketing these and letting the world know!! Otherwise just amazing products wasted.
asha ui has no swipe. in fact it operate more like symbian
um this is looking more and more like the Air Concept since it’s really smooth like what has been shown
