Lab test: Nokia 808 PureView drop-test, Nokia Lumia 920 stabilisation shake rig

A couple of interesting videos, yet again bestowed by Engadget.

First up is a drop test. It features the Nokia 808 PureView and Galaxy SIII. Both still work (so no worries that Nokia made the SGSIII test harder to force a fail). It was actually the 808 that burst open with the battery flying out – something that has also happened to me. 808 totally fine.
Next up, the stabilisation test. Now some people were complaining that in the Nokia demoes, the induced shake was weaker, making OIS mode appear better. But in this mechanical simulation, you can see the level of shake does not change, but the shaking is reduced quite a lot by OIS.
