Nokia working on Windows RT Tablet?
Nokia is supposedly ‘confirmed’ as working on a Windows 8 RT Tablet, according to ‘WMPU’s sources’. We know Nokia’s making some kind of tablet. Marko Ahtisaari says he’s spending 1/3 of his time on it (and if Marko is spending any time on anything, you know it’s going to be good). Whether it’s the same Windows tablet is another thing.
Apparently this tablet is already being used by Microsoft to test ARM based Windows App.

yes, i was wondering why they don’t go in the pc market. imagine cool nokia latops. the design better than apple with cool colors. also i would want nokia pc monitors. a cyan monitor, lumia design with gorilla glass screen with clearblack technology also. could you imagine that? i would buy that in a second

Yeah, although I’d expect it to take them a while to get it out. Which is just as well, a Windows RT tablet isn’t a good buy for at least a year until the Windows App Store fills out.
I guess if Nokia is all about “eco system” then it just right to build that damn tablet!
Good stuff, finally. They need to get it out soon, or Ill purchase Nexus, Ipad & some other than Nokia W tablet for testing purposes.
iPad is becoming really tempting but WAY out my price range to justify a purchase. However £159 for an Amazon Fire or Google Nexus looks a lot more realistic!
Nokia gonna have to hurry up!

Who says that the Nokia tablet will be part of the windows phone 8/ windows 8, release party?
When Microsoft release windows 8 (phone 8, RT, x86 version) , they are surely gonna have some kind of press conference/event or something and they already showed the microsoft surface tablets. Why not show the Nokia tablet during the conference.
Microsoft is surely gonna get more attention from the press if Nokia releases a tablet during the same event.
Then we are gonna see headlines like: Microsft releases windows phone 8 and windows rt for tablets , we go hands on…” and other headlines saying “Nokia releases tablet at last, sporting windows RT, we go hands on”
I’ll be damned. I was going to get a Sony Xperia Tablet S. Guess I’ll wait to see this.
Imagine a Nokia tablet with a 10.1″ PureMotion HD+ CBD screen…

I think that screen type is limited to 5″ based upon the spec sheet of synaptics.
Why would synaptics have anything to do with it? PureMotion != super sensitive touch.
Well for some consumers it’s like this – Times are changing. I don’t need to be chained to my deskop/laptop any more. I don’t need or want the latest whizz bang phone. Instead, I can buy a small tablet like Nexus/iPad mini/Kindle. Comes with portability and great screen. Take a great Nokia device, remove back camera, add stereo speakers, explore text input/typing options. Paired up with existing Nokia handset, or sell handset + tablet as a duo set
Nokia should make it run meamo because meamo is so suitable for tablet and have desktop like multitasking.and they will also no need to pay ms money for using w8
They can throw CBD, PureMotion and all they have in to it.
I don’t see myself getting a RT tablet. I’d prefer a full blown W8 tablet like the Surface Pro.
