Video: Nokia Lumia 920 vs Nokia Lumia 900 (OIS test)
Here’s a comparison between the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Nokia Lumia 900 video recording, looking specifically at improvements (if any) by PureView V2 OIS/Floating lens.
This isn’t walking, this is running.
You might also like to check out what the 808 looks like with and without hardware stabilisation for comparison. I’m actually quite amazed the 920 gets that close to a huge apparatus.

OIS works very well for video recording… no other phone comes even close.

Hmm, doesn’t anyone feel that the OIS imparts a pretty weird wobble to the periphery of the frame? It’s not too obvious here but doesn’t it feel a tad strange?
oops, overlooked your comment. And I thought I was the only one seeing that wobble effect.
I kinda dislike the image quality of the Lumia 920. OIS is doing a great job, you can clearly see the videos are less shaky at all, but the actual image looks somehow “strange” kinda artificial. I also noticed some wobble effect in videos.
Yeah I think this OIS thing should be more appropriate for images/stills. Of course hat’s off to nokia for fitting it all in such a small frame.
