Nokia Drive Beta WP8 Updated with GPS fix , UI improvement and bug fixes.
Just noticed some updates on my Nokia Lumia 920.
There’s some updates to Nokia Drive Beta that says:
- Battery Saver mode turns off GPS after the app is sent to the background (except when in guidance mode).
- Back to my position and distance measurement.
- Get one tap access to your current position while exploring/panning the map also see the distance from your current position
- UI improvement
- Bug fixes
Oh yeah, extras and infos is also updated.

symbian/Meego/Maemo5/s40(ASHA) updates please
I think I’ve seen 3-4 updates to extras + info and at least 2 updates to network+ since Nov 13th. I love the minor foxes and upgrades!
Not sure If I’ve received the Drive Beta update or not. I know in battery saver, when I’d lock the screen to save juice during nav, it would cut the GPS radio and screw up everything. I’ve also had the issue of Drive telling me that a map download is recommended, dispute having lastest and greatest maps.
I accept it because its Beta. If I hadn’t downloaded it yet, I hope to hell that stuff is fixed. Maybe some energy optimizations, too, ‘cuz even plugged in to aux power, Beta drains my 920
I’d just like them to get local traffic working like it did on my old N8.
Nokia Drive is a good app.
