Nokia Purity Pro by Monster CES 2013 Award

The standard Purity HDs that I have are pretty darn awesome, so I can only imagine what the all new, wireless; bluetooth active noise cancelling version is like. but apparently someone out there loves it seeing how it just won an award for Innovations at CES.

“We are extremely proud of the selection of Nokia Purity Pro Wireless Headset by Monster as an honoree in the Headphones category of the 2013 CES Innovations Design and Engineering Awards,”said Tomi Penttila, head of Nokia Gear. “This is an acknowledgement of the innovation, excellent sound quality and superior craftsmanship that the product and the two brands stand for.”

Unfortunately the Purity Pro HD is not on sale yet (what??) but will hit shelves within the month; sign me up for one in either glossy black or  a 920 matching red please.

Edit:It seems they’re available to buy on Amazon (although delivery is 1-3 Months) although it’s definitely on the pricey side at £269.99:

What color with the yellow phone….black or red?

    • JGrove303 says:

Well, your Purity Pros aren’t connected to your Lumia and they won’t be right next to them when in use, so, any color you want?

Hey, we can now comment using Nokia Xpress here. Saving the money, saving the money for my new black, red, yellow headphones. I hate picking out colors. Which one?

Nokia Xpress works here now? Awesome! Keep up the hard work Nokia, keep updating the Xpress browser! It will give a nice alternative to IE10.

Also people, EVERYONE, we need to get Opera Mobile and Opera Mini onto Windows Phone 8! Post comments on Opera’s blog and help make this happen!

Dunno if they were before, but it’s showing “dispatches within 1-3 Months” which I assume means not in stock?

At least in Finland the wireless Puritys remain pretty much the last of the new Nokia accessories that are not yet in sale, everything else is (except some Nokia Lumia case colors). The wired Purity HDs in new colors came on sale in December, but from my limited vantage point at least these wireless ones haven’t been on sale yet at all.

I’ve waiting for these forever! I to want the red. I imaging they’ll be around $369 for us Yankees. Steep, but worth it. I can’t stand wired headphones any longer with my bike riding and doing stuff around the house/working in the garage. Cable gets caught on everything.

The only thing these are missing is wireless charging. The induction coil could have be built into the top of the headband and sold with a charging hanger. Maybe on the next one?

Also makes me wonder if they’ll rerelease the Purity earbuds and Purity HDs in the current color scemes. As cool as the Magenta Purity HDs are…But then the Play Ups are only made in so many colors as well. Hmpf, pity. No more color hording I suppose.

Wired Purity HDs in the new color scheme are out, in Finland I have seen them in stores since early December or so. Not sure about the Purity earbuds.

p.s. Nice idea about the wireless charging hanger!
