With a bit of trial and error on the materials for 3D Printed Nokia Lumia 820 covers, imaterialise found one that looks good, but has functional buttons.

They went from materials that may be too brittle, to ones that are strong but the buttons are too hard and don’t work (as they’re on the case). They  found the solution, which was to double print (as well as do a bit of engineering). The result was functional buttons that also looked good with the two tone design. I also liked the clear resin – hopefully there’ll be a dual printed version with working buttons (that they say is very good, nice and easy to push – btw, 820’s buttons feel much nicer than my 920s I think).
