Last video for tonight as I’m super tired, so I’ll try and get some shut eye (we got a couple interviews with some Nokia people tomorrow, so look forward to that. Here’s a quick look at the super affordable Nokia 105; the phone is actually really super light and quite sturdy for something you could buy […]

As we heard today the WP8 mapping and navigation apps were being rebranded from Nokia Maps etc. to HERE. Well the update has hit the stores and you can now get HERE maps on your own phone; of course the availability might vary by region.
One of the coolest features in the new Nokia 301(in my opinion) is the slew of built in camera features that you usually wouldn’t see in the normal low end phones. Including panorama, Burst mode and voice guided self portraits. The voice guidance tells you how to position yourself to get your face centered on the viewfinder. Pretty sweet huh?
Nokia have set up a little dark room designed to make it look like a romantic night on the tropics. We decided to pit the 720 with its impressive f/1.9 aperture against the low light king, the 920 and the BB Z10. Right off the bat I must say this 720 is AMAZING! Besides the beautiful […]
Here’s a random post to keep you Meego fans happy; although Jolla Mobiles keynote speech is scheduled for Thursday (unfortunately we’re leaving on Wednesday night) . They have a team of Booth-babes roaming around spreading the word; and having people scan QR codes off the babe’s necks. I must say the future of Jolla is looking very “Hot”.
Here’s a quick rundown comparison between the Lumia 720, 620 and 520- in terms of internals they’re all identical except for the cameras and screen material (not resolution). For the record the 720′s screen is just ridiculously gorgeous!!!! *Sorry for the lack of context in these posts guys; just trying to get these off and run […]
Here’s another video, this time playing with the new Nokia 301 (apparently not an Asha?); all in all this is a pretty impressive device and really super stylish in terms of design. It takes some obvious hints from the Lumia range and would make for a great backup device to one of them. One of the […]
Here’s another video, this time showing the Nokia Lumia 520 in all its sexy glory! The device is really thin! And super good looking.
Hey guys, sorry I haven’t been able to update much but it’s really difficult to get some hands on with these devices right now; but we’ve been promised a closer look soon. In the mean time here’s a quick hands on with Nokia Lumia 720 -BTW it looks like these prototype devices didn’t have the […]
Stephen Elop released that the Windows Phone store has reached 130,00 apps. It’s good to occasionally get these numbers, even if it is just to reassure devs and users that Windows Phone is a viable platform, and the “app” card can’t really be used as a deciding factor to not go with WP. While on […]
The final (if I haven’t forgotten anything) product/service announced by Nokia at today’s MWC keynote, was a car holder with Wireless Charging and NFC. Like the Wireless Charging Stand, the NFC is used to launch a pre-defined application. Being a car accessory, it make sense to be HERE Drive, or just as easily Nokia Music. […]
At the MWC 2013 keynote, Nokia announced that its location services on the current WP8 Lumia (and non-Nokia WP8) devices will be rebranded to HERE. In new Nokia fashion, the update is already rolling out! As you can see in the screenshot above, Nokia Maps is now HERE Maps, Nokia Drive+ is now HERE Drive+, […]
In all this hype Evleaks again had tweeted it’s worth watching some promotional previews of the upcoming Asha series getting a huge turn over in the body design and the user interface. Looks like the new Asha line is going to lose its weight and size making it more thinner and sexier to hold for. […]
Just on a rather light hearted note, it seems that Stephen Elop (@Selop) has tweeted about the latest devices Nokia has brought to market, and made a slight mix up. Its comforting that even someone in his position (if he tweets from it ) can make mistakes. (See, he really is human!) Proud to […]
Nokia have published their official press release on the new devices and announcements that just came from their MWC 2013 keynote. Barcelona, Spain – Today at Mobile World Congress, Nokia announced plans to extend high-end innovations to more people in more markets. Four new devices bring innovation to new price points, while Nokia’s HERE location […]
The Nokia 301 was also announced the MWC. It is a dual-SIM device, with some really awesome camera features inspired by the Lenses found in the Lumia WP8 devices. This includes sequential shots and panorama. “Selfies” are also being improved in the Nokia 301, with voice guided help for taking that perfect shot. (Move left, […]
Hey guys, just a quick couple pictures of the new phones (couldn’t get any hands on the 720 just yet) but I’ll get a lot more pics and videos up in a bit; as soon as I get some alone time with phone. *note_ for some reason picture uploads aren’t working and giving me a lot […]
The Nokia 105 was just announced at Nokia’s MWC keynote. Marko Ahtisaari (my favourite speaker) launched the successor to the Nokia 1280. He emphasized simplicity and incredible battery life. Coming in Cyan and Black, it will be the entry into the Nokia brand, priced at a pocket-change low of 15 euros. 15! It is planned […]
Nokia have also announced the Nokia Lumia 720. It is reportedly being marketed at non-LTE markets, coming to Asia in Q1 (Hong Kong, Singapore and Vietnam) and into Q2 we shall see it expand to India and China, as well as Europe and Africa. The Lumia 720 will be priced at 249 euros. 4.3″ Curved […]
Marko Ahtisaari hit the stage moments ago to announce the Nokia Lumia 520 – the most affordable WP8. The Lumia 520 is said to have all the high end experiences we have seen in the Lumia 820 and 920, but at a low price of 139 Euros. Yes, 139 EUROS! Crazy cheap! The device will […]
