Video: V3 tests Nokia Lumia 920 against BlackBerry’s Z10. Z10 fails, stutters and freezes all around.

Screen Shot 2013-03-19 at 01.08.06I’m rather surprised by how much the Nokia Lumia 920 actually demolished the Z10. I had no idea the software on it was this unreliable.

In the video below where V3 compares the 920 against the Z10, bugs/freezes really don’t help the BB much. Shame as it otherwise has a lot of promise.  It might just be having an off day, eh?

Opening maps for the first time was quite tense (subsequent attempts should give the Lumia an even more decisive win I reckon). I was surprised by the speed of phototaking (perhaps user error here) but no one other than BB could be blamed for the locking up of the gallery.

It reminded me a bit of using my N97 when it would randomly freeze at the most inappropriate moments.

Poor guy at the end trying to send an email from the 920. The girl was already poised to open the email app, but what was he doing? Just fiddling about. He does accept human error here.

Slightly edging ahead? Hmm not really no.

Lumia’s used to the Smoked By WP timed tests. I do think they can increase camera start up time though.

Cheers Dan for the tip!

I’m really missing those swipy-N9/WebOS-esque gestures. 🙂
