Pre-emptive photos as cameras take shots before you even press the shutter and/or taking video before/during/after and allowing you to select is a growing feature in smartphones, most recently shown off in HTC One’s ‘Zoe’ camera functions.

You can sort of get this feature with Burst Camera for Symbian.

Steve says:

Although it’s not as fast (that ‘Processing’ delay) or as slick as on the One, Burst Camera on Symbian is still a very useful facility and has earnt its place on my Nokia 808. Whether it’s snapping someone in a running race or trying to get the perfect shot of a baby or shooting steam trains(!), you can now get just the split second shot you need, provided you’re happy with 2 megapixel resolution.

3 shots in burst mode might also be a good way to do single step HDR

    • Only if mounted properly. But then why go burst mode anyway. People can’t hold their cameras still enough.
