You know how much I whinge about the lack of focus and clarity of a Nokia advert where there are arty farty things that don’t make sense.

Well it seems Nokia are beginning to get the message that they themselves have to tell a clear story to others.

Just last week, we saw the first batch of adverts I found for the first time I began connecting with. There’s a theme of ‘trust’ going on here. In Nokia we Trust 😀

Nokia is synonymous on the online forums for being indestructible. It’s nice to see them shout a bit about their robustness. Hopefully it won’t backfire with people thinking these devices are purpose built to be thrown on the floor or swam with. Well, these are the Asha handsets at least and they’re mega rugged anyway.

Also, is it me or does the voice sound similar to Jony Ive? There’s something about that voice that blends well for presentations like these. The sheer fact there’s narration, I’m definitely a big fan. It just reinforces the message from what I see and what I hear. Sometimes there are Nokia ads and so many things are going on, only a Nokia geek would be aware of the subtle things Nokia’s trying to say.

It’s not the first time Nokia’s shown us their durability testing in house, but it is the first time it can connect to a whole wider audience.
