Singing songs of praises for the Nokia Lumia 1020 today. Is the 41MP camera gimmick? Hell no, it is delivering again and again and again in quality and performance. PhoneArena says there’s nothing compromised with the results. 1020 also excels in Macro (I believe some 808 users had some difficulty due to not being able to go in as close though the zoom helped there) focusing on a particular point and giving some smooth bokeh. “In terms of color reproduction, we can’t complain either about its accuracy, as it’s able to cast a very neutral stance”

In completely pitch dark it tends to struggle. Understandable but more importantly “much better than what we see with comparable shots taken by the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S4” When there is a bit of light, it’s able to draw out more details, “Frankly, its quality is unrivaled at the moment!”.

Man oh man, it makes me smile so much to see that these independent reviews are hailing the camera. This is such a standout feature and Nokia needs to capitalise on finally getting the imaging jewel we first saw in Symbian on the Nokia Lumia 1020. People will care when they learn what they can have. When they see, this is the future, this is what can be achieved right now in your camera that is responsible for preserving moments and memories, they will want the Nokia Lumia 1020. They say some might consider a 920 + separate camera, but they answer that themselves “But why carry around two devices when you can have the best of both worlds?”. I won’t always carry a separate camera, but I will always carry my phone. Why not have astonishingly great photos all the time, eh? 🙂

  • 24FPS video mode interesting to find. They like the more flowy nature.
  • Unparalleled photo and video quality

Cheers  sbw44  for the tip!
