Just a quick teaser pic of what happened today before I dash out for dinner in 3 minutes.

Four Nokia Lumia 1020s. Who wants one! Hahaha.

Erm someone put me on that list too!

MsJen took the same photo with her 808. Really good quality.

    good maths.

  • Jakiro

Wow, so many ..i like it ^_^…

    and

it cannot count it as 164MP…
Because per device only 41MP…If say use Software within Computer, 1 x Nokia Lumia 1020 enough.

    • guerrahp

I bet Navteq has em for the maps.

  • Fraggy

Okay, give me one. NOW. :(

  • Weirdfisher

4 times the noise, though :D

  • ammad

    Dem Megapixelz!

  • Janne

Now, Elop, that’s finally what I’d call a Lumia royal flush!

(Nokia apparently calls their WP8 Lumia range the Lumia royal flush.)

I’d flush it down the toilet, yes. :-D

      • Viipottaja

Hey there. I know you are still holding on to the Symbian part of Nokia but it’s all over now. I do own a Nokia 808 PureView and don’t have a Lumia yet but I believe it’s time for us to let go, and move on…

We can’t go on like this trying to hate on the future of Nokia. Admit it, most WP8 users are only there because of Nokia. And if Nokia chose to be with WP, then we must accept it wholeheartedly. I guess it’s about time for us to put down our defenses, and break down if we must.

Yes, this hurts, a lot. But realizing that that we cannot hold on to the past is the first step to moving on with our lives.

Sure, there would still be times that we would think of Symbian and badly wish it back even if we know it’s impossible to happen. But at least we can look back at those wonderful years we had with Symbian.

Someday you’ll understand what I’m talking about. And when that day comes, there’s no longer bitterness left in your hearts. And the memories of holding on to Symbian and making a fool of ourselves will trace a smile on our faces, because by then, we have fully understood Nokia’s decision.

It’s all right now. Just let go, cry if you must, and move on.

          Amen, brother.

        • Janne

          Well said, well said.

And if someone can’t move on together with Nokia and Nokia fans, but must go elsewhere, we understand of course.

But the in-fighting over old decisions, well into the third year of the Lumia strategy, is about as sane as I’d be bickering still about Nokia’s Symbian moves hindering Maemo in mid-2000s. It’s ancient history and it’s healthier to let go.

At some point it is better to just remember the good times, than remain bitter with the what-ifs.

          May I have your 808 then? :)

  • guerrahp

Surely nobody needs that many megapixels. Can you imagine uploading that on Facebook!?!?

    • Deaconclgi

They would just oversample the 164MP down to a sharable 5MP photo that is so clear and has so much detail and extra pixels that you will be able to see BEHIND Jay, the backside of the chair and even read the paper that is on the table in the left, as if you were holding it in your hands.

BOOM!!! More than the eyes can see…Reinvented!

      • guerrahp

I will not read any of your good info because I think you are a witch. I will still insist on saying that’s too many megapixels….can I have the yellow one second from the left. Thanks 😉👊

  • sinple

i thought u meant a paranoma photo using full 41mp

    Jay don’t forget your partner.

    • Suuuckerr

      suuuucckkeeeeerrssss

  • pezman726

I’ll take one! The phone is launching on my birthday…and instead of giving me one, Nokia decided to give it to the Rock. So, feel free to pocket an extra one for me! :)

  • Станислав

    Очень классное фото))

Four units is more than enough, since you are coming down from Finland when going back to the UK it isn’t even a detour dropping one over here with me. :P

  • ms.nokia

when i read the tittle i thought Nokia showed you their new 164 MP phone…..

  • art_vaider

Hi Jay , say to nokia they must improve 1020 algorithms and remove that artificial sharpness as fast as they can.

  • Rob

Jay – you should really update your profile pic to one of these ones….much better shot :-)
