There’s some recognition outside of tech blogs on the mainstream press for the Nokia Lumia 1020 and its recent efforts with National Geographic.

The Telegraph writes about Award Winning photographer, Stephen Alvarez, who almost put the phone down at the thought of being asked to use a phone to take pictures with but then says:

But the results have been incredible. Getting these results from a smartphone, at a magazine resolution, is stunning via: Reddit

For those wondering if it will feature at all to their magazines, The Telegraph writes:

The pictures are on display now for a week at the National Geographic shop in Knightsbridge, London, and an image from the shoot will feature on the inside front cover of National Geographic’s 125th anniversary edition in September.

Just in time when it hits the shops for some of the rest of the world, eh? 🙂
